Description
Developed by an experienced team of trainers in fibreoptic intubation in Oxford, this box is an example of a dhit the hole' teaching aid. This cylindrical box is made of perplex and has 5 plates each drilled with a number of holes, the size and combination of which is precisely designed. The size and arrangement of the holes in the box is selected so that the tip of an adult tracheal incubating fibrescope (e.g. Olympus LF-2 or GP, Pentax) just passes through them only when actively manipulated. The holes have chamfered edges to prevent damage to the fibrescope.
