Simulator for Sentinel Node Biopsy in Breast Cancer

 In collaboration with the universe College London a totally new concept is emerging for the development of surgical skills. This simulator is a significant first step in meeting the needs necessary for detecting sentinel nodes.

Features

• Gamma probe guided sentinel node mapping
• Characteristics of the model are very similar to that of human body tissue
• Trainees can inject using water based dye
• Radioactive nodes can be placed almost anywhere in the axilla
• Hot and cold nodes can be placed at various depths within the axilla
• The simulator may be imaged with a gamma camera
• Several dissections can be performed on each axilla before replacement
• A CD with clear guidelines and procedures for filling nodes is included
